Education and Training Policy
Cultivating professional talents for each position; Enhancing employee quality and work efficiency; Reserving management talent for future expansion
We provide comprehensive education and training for each of our partners tailored to their specific positions of jobs and levels of duty. This includes training by hierarchy, function, training at home and abroad, and self-inspiration categories. In 2023, Mercuries F&B organized a total of 15 physical education and training sessions for 306 participants, averaging 10 hours of training for each person.
Additionally, new employees of Mercuries F&B can undergo an introduction to the company and its regulations through the “E33 Catering Academy”, an online education and training system. They proceed by passing a self-assessment test that meets the required standard. In 2023, the total usage of the system reached 2,274 sessions.
Mercuries F&B Training Center has two classrooms that are equipped with projectors, screens and microphones for employees to attend various courses.

Mercuries F&B Sports Day
The 2024 annual sports meeting was held at Zhunan Sports Park on October 30. A total of 409 people participated,led by supervisors and participated in by colleagues from restaurants nationwide, allowing employees to get some exercise amidst their busy schedules. Through team sports and fun competitions, the event emphasizes the importance of regular exercise, fostering unity and a stronger sense of identification with the company.
TCFA 2023 Outstanding Store Manager Selection Contest
Mercuries F&B’s remains committed to its original intention of progressing and upholding service standards. Given this, many outstanding restaurant managers are selected to participate in the Taiwan Chain & Franchise Association’s (TCFA) “Outstanding Store Manager” competition. This allows participating restaurant managers to persistently strive for breakthroughs and growth, learning and sharing with others, setting examples, and embracing new knowledge. This embodies the spirit of “peers are not rivals, cross-industries can be mentors”.
In 2023, Huang Yi-Ru, the manager of Minquan Store No. 2, a brand under Mercuries Food Chain, was honored with the TCFA Outstanding Store Manager Award. Going forward, we will continue to cultivate excellent store managers, refine outstanding and versatile talents, and achieve sustainable talent management through experience and legacy.
TCFA 2024 Service Angel Award
Hosted by the TCFA, the “Service Angel Award”, is an annual highlight for the franchise industry. Congratulations to Chou Chen-Yu from Mercuries Food Chain Dali branch and Huang Ching-Yi from the Finance and Accounting Department for receiving the award. Chen-Yu’s is known for his friendly and sincere service, making each customers feel valued. And his caring for colleagues, maintaining a positive atmosphere in the restaurant. Ms. Ching-Yi is friendly, diligent, and enjoys sharing knowledge. In addition to making charts and handouts for accounting affairs, she also took the initiative to suggest improvement to workflows, enhancing smooth operation and overall efficiency for her team. The contributions of the frontline staff and unsung embody the most beautiful value of the service industry, and we are grateful for each Service Angel for their dedication.
TCFA Gold Service Award
“Quality” is the foundation of “brand”, and in pursuit of higher service quality, TCFA aligned with international standards by pioneering the “Golden Service Award” in Taiwan. Based on the perspectives of customers, the award assesses five major aspects, namely: hospitality, operational basics, store appeal, sales effectiveness, team service. Mercuries F&B has been honored with the inaugural “TCFA Golden Award”. Moving forward, we will continue to adhere to our 3 core values “Food Safety”, “Digital Innovation”, and “Diverse Services” to provide customers with a more satisfying dining experience.
2023 Champion of the 6th Campionato mondiale del Pizzaiuolo – Caputo Taiwan
In the 2023 edition of the Campionato Mondiale del Pizzaiolo – CAPUTO Taiwan, the BANCO dining brand under Mercuries F&B crowned the championship in the “Pizza Frittata” category. The competition aims to promote authentic Neapolitan pizzas, focusing on a pleasant experience and the transmission of the five senses.
This competition, fiercely competitive, marked the first occurrence after a 3 year hiatus due to the pandemic. All participants underwent a rigorous evaluation, meticulously judged by the APN’s (Associazione Pizzaiuoli Napoletani) panel from Italy, leading to Chef Jung-Hsin, Yang’s entry from BANCO emerging victorious. This award not only affirms Mercuries F&B’s commitment but also demonstrates our respect and dedication to the Italian culinary culture. In the future, we will continue to strive for excellence and provide customers with quality dining experience.
2024 Runner-up in the 21st Naples CAPUTO Cup World Pizza Masters Championship
“BANCO ” shined in the “21st CAPUTO Cup World Pizza Masters Championship”.
BANCO chef Liu Wenjun and store manager Lu Ruihua stood out from 600 contestants. In the end, chef Liu Wenjun won the third place in the creative pizza world with his original “Golden Diamond Pineapple Sauce Smoked Ham Pizza”! This is the fourth international award that BANCO Kiln Baked Pizza has won after 2019 and 2023! This may also be the first time in the world that a pizza using pineapple as an ingredient has won a trophy in Italy. Through this traditional Italian pizza competition “CAPUTO Cup World Pizza Masters Championship”, consumers can evoke the good memories of the past.
2023 Taipei International Beef Noodle Festival
The Taipei International Beef Noodle Festival established in 2005, aims to promote the beef noodle industry. The “2023 Taipei International Beef Noodle Festival” was the largest and most expansive edition to date, breaking records in terms of participant groups, booth numbers, and event content. The competition saw registrations from 173 teams over three days, with categories including “Fresh Food Group” (braised, stewed, and creative beef noodles group) and “Retort Pouch Group” (braised, stewed, etc.). This year, t he Healthy for Elderly Group was first introduced, and restaurants were invited to design beef noodles most suitable for the elderly to enjoy.
The Mercuries F&B’s “PIN CHUAN LAN”, participating for the first time, won the “Fresh Food Braised Beef” Bronze and was among the “Top 10 Stewed Beef Retort Pouches”, honors not only affirming the Mercuries F&B brand but also reflecting the commitment to continually improve and deliver higher quality products to consumers.
